Flying with HHMFC - Flying Sites

Our Flying Sites

Our radio controlled model flying club has the luxury of 2 Flying Fields, both have very good mown flying surfaces with no immediate obstructions, and no close neighbours, so ideal for RC models.

                  Tring in Buckinghamshire

This site is located between Aylesbury, Dunstable, High Wycombe and Hemel Hempstead, which has given members much pleasure these past 40 years. The mown patch is approximately 60m x 60m. There is safe off road parking for 16-20 cars, with further parking on the grass in the lane, if required.

Our second field is at London Colney, close to Barnet, in an area between St. Albans, Watford, Enfield and Potters Bar. We have enjoyed this site for over 20 years, this also has it's own car park for around 15 vehicles and is well away from any roads. It has a magnificent vista, to the west and north, which includes the impressive St. Albans Abbey.

Both fields have a very friendly atmosphere, with members always willing to help the novice. Our membership is around the 100 mark, so there is never the problem of waiting for a flight which is good news for the trainee. The club is not competition minded, we are orientated to self improvement, and fun flying. It's this approach which creates the friendly atmosphere.
