Dear Members

Summer seems to have flown by and here we are well in to Autumn and with Christmas not that far away!

This year the AGM/Christmas Social will be held at 7:30 pm for a 7:45pm start on Monday the 9th December at the Leverstock Green Community Centre (a map is accessible on the Club Website).

The meeting this year is again very important to the future of our club so please make every effort to be there.

As you know each year all the committee members all officially stand down and will need to be re-elected, assuming they wish to continue in their roles.

This year, however, two members of the committee will be formally standing down and not standing for re-election:

Malcolm Emms who has been our Chairman for the last 10 years and Brian Harris our Club Secretary for 11 years!

In view of the above please seriously consider the need to provide:

a    Any nomination for the committee and

b    Any proposal of rule changes or the addition of any new rules (copies of the current Rules and Regulations are available on our website)

Please note the above must be received in writing with details of both the proposer’s and a seconder’s name (both of whom must be in attendance at the meeting).

This must be received by our club secretary, Brian Harris, prior to Friday 22nd November.

Brian’s contact details are as follows:

Home address: 16 Torridge Walk, Grove Hill, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 6ET

We will also hold the Christmas Social on the same night after the AGM, for which food and drinks will be provided, and of course hold the raffle.

We have in the past received some very generous model donations from members so if you have any suitable prizes which you would like to donate please do contact one of the committee members.

In addition we also thought it would be a good idea to include a ‘Bring and Buy’ stall this year so if you have any models, engines or accessories you would like to sell please bring them on the night.

Finally as we are sure most of you are aware from the various hobby related organisations such as the BMFA, forums and magazines there have been many articles and discussions regarding the laws applicable and proposed in relation to model flying.

In view of this we urge you to make sure you are fully aware of the current position in order that we all fly safely and within the law.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the 9th December so please do your very best to be there.

With kind regards to you all

HHMFC Committee
