Dear Members

We thought it would be good to follow the recent emails with some more good news:

We hope many of you will have had the chance to go flying over the past week at either our Puttenham or Shenley sites.

Those of you that have taken the opportunity to go flying will I am sure be pleased that both sites are looking really good with the grass now nicely mown in both the pits and on flying patches.

There is some new signage around both sites just to remind you about the importance of social distancing so please do take care! We all have good intentions but naturally tend to drift closer over time so please do stick to the 2m guideline for your own safety.

Some hard work has also been going on behind the scenes undertaken by my committee colleagues in order to ensure we can continue enjoying our hobby throughout the summer months and beyond so a big thank you to everyone concerned!

You may recall earlier this year we were invited to join the High Wycombe club for some indoor flying which was great fun and very successful.

Their club are currently waiting to arrange a new flying field and in the interim we are very pleased a number of them have recently joined our club. Most of them will fly at Puttenham, as this is the closer of our two sites to the High Wycombe area, but we hope some may also venture over to Shenley. We also have a number of other new members and over the last week or so 12 new members have joined with some more to come.

Please join us in welcoming them to our club.

We want to continue to increase our membership so if you know of anyone who would like to take up our hobby do take them with you to see what we’re all about and encourage them to become a member.

As you know we are all very friendly and enthusiastic. We have two great sites and can help any new members with almost any aspect of modelling from building to flying including fixed wing, helicopters and drones.

You never know some of them can probably help us too!

The new cameras have also been a great success particularly having such good quality pictures.

Assuming the position with the Coronavirus pandemic continues to improve and if there is a further relaxation in the recent guidelines, we have a number of social events in the pipeline and further information will follow.

Do also follow our various social media links on the website, WhatsApp and Facebook.

So as you can see from the above things are really looking up. Let’s hope to good weather continues and we can all enjoy some great flying days.

Please do remember to stay well and fly safely
